Ellicottville Greens' first shipping container farm site breaks ground in Ellicottville, right outside of Buffalo, NY, to provide fresh leafy greens to local schools, hospitals and supermarkets.
Driven by growing demand, Ellicottville Greens secures significant funding from local investor group Varia Ventures to expand farms, and acquires Vertical Fresh Farms, a leading indoor farm in Buffalo.
To meet demand for fresh, local food in schools, hospitals and restaurants, a new site in Olean, NY opens. In parallel, Ellicottville Greens acquires a cut basil grow operation to continue to meet demand for local herbs.
Ellicottville Greens expands beyond wholesale, entering retail with local living lettuce and herbs now available at Dash's, Lexington Co-op, East Aurora Co-op, and more in Upstate, NY.
To prepare for a major expansion ahead, Ellicottville Greens changes its name to Nimble Farms, with a fresh new look to match, launching into all Tops Supermarkets and expanding to another Buffalo location.
